Postcards of Positivity 2022
The Covid-19 pandemic made the 2020-21 school year difficult for everyone; students, parents, teachers, and staff. The educators and staff members in the Pittsford School district had to adapt and overcome countless challenges this year. We at the Pittsford Education Foundation wanted to do something uplifting and show our teachers and staff how much gratitude Pittsford had for them. So, we partnered with the Pittsford Federal Credit Union to bring you Postcards of Positivity!
We built this webpage so the community could send a message of gratitude to a Pittsford district employee of their choosing. The messages were then printed on custom postcards and hand-delivered, free of charge.
The postcard messages came from students, parents, and teachers. And they were sent to a wide variety of Pittsford district employees: from teachers and administrators to bus drivers and food service workers. We tapped into the huge well of appreciation and love throughout our district.
We heard from faculty and staff that it was just wonderful to see teachers’ mailboxes bursting with our bright yellow postcards.
The response was an overwhelming success
We delivered over 2,100 postcards!
